Arranging a flat for rent - an inspiring makeover

Designing a rental apartment presents a unique challenge — creating a functional and attractive space for future tenants while adhering to a limited budget. Today, we present a renovation project of an investment apartment in Warsaw's Ursynów, which underwent a comprehensive makeover to become a welcoming and unique place.

Uncovering the Potential of 57 Square Metres

The story of this project begins with a bold move — purchasing an investment apartment in Warsaw's Ursynów. Although the apartment had potential, it required a complete renovation. This was a challenge, but also a great opportunity to create something exceptional. The investors entrusted the project to Joanna Lemka-Wójcik, who ultimately transformed the 57-square-metre space into a boho/scandi style oasis, both functional and cosy.

Originally a two-room apartment, it gained an additional, third room by moving the kitchen into the living room. This also allowed for space optimisation, enabling the enlargement of the bedroom at the expense of the hallway. The apartment was designed with future rentals in mind, so the investors opted against custom-made furniture in favour of functional and accessible solutions like IKEA's popular PAX system.

A key element of the project was combining high-quality finishing materials with budget-friendly furniture. This resulted in a functional, modern base that leaves room for individual touches and personalisation by future tenants. The floor was covered with water-resistant vinyl panels, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.

Small Details — Big Impact

The style of the apartment can be described as minimalist but cosy, maintained in neutral colours. Details such as blue tiles in the kitchen and bathroom or copper accents add character. It is these small details that give the interior its unique and distinctive atmosphere. The kitchen design also includes the Floweri 60 White hood, which fits perfectly into the arrangement.
