TOP 3 Kitchen arrangements with island ventilation hoods
TOP 3 Kitchen Designs with Island Cooker Hoods
If you are planning a kitchen island, an essential feature is a kitchen island cooker hood. Check out our TOP 3 kitchen designs with island hoods. If you're looking for kitchen design inspiration, explore our design gallery.
Island Cooker Hoods
The installation point for an island cooker hood is the ceiling above the hob. No matter where your island worktop is located in the kitchen, directly above it should be installed a powerful and quiet cooker hood. It will immediately neutralise steam, grease, dirt, and unpleasant odours. The air in your kitchen will be clean and healthy, and the space will be neat and hygienic.
Island cooker hoods come in various shapes. In our shop, you'll find:
- island hoods in the shape of an inverted T (T-Line)
- decorative island hoods on steel cables resembling elegant lamps
- cylindrical island hoods in the shape of a tube
- “square” hoods in a rectangular form
In terms of design and colour, we offer a wide range: natural stainless steel in silver, painted steel in white, black, gold, green, blue, or any RAL colour.
Cylindrical Island Cooker Hoods
In this selection, we focus on cylindrical island hoods in various colours and designs.
At GLOBALO, you'll find a wide selection of cylindrical island hoods. We've prepared the CYLINDRO ISOLA model in several of this season's most sought-after colours: green, light gold, blue, titanium, black, white, inox, gold, rose, and copper.
Apart from the stylish design, this model is also technologically impressive because:
- it is quiet – on the first speed setting it starts working at 46 dB
- it is efficient – on the highest speed it reaches 742 m3/h
- it has comfortable and energy-saving Power LED lighting
- it can operate with an external turbine
We've foreseen that some users will want to install it in open mode and others in closed mode. What does this mean? If you have the option to connect the hood via a duct to a separate ventilation chimney – do it. Your hood will then work as an extractor, achieving greater efficiency and lower noise levels. However, if for structural or aesthetic reasons you need the hood in recirculation mode – simply equip the appliance with an additional carbon filter.
Design with a Copper Island Cooker Hood
In the first design we chose for you, the featured hood is the GLOBALO CYLINDRO ISOLA COPPER.
This is a visualisation we received as part of the “Cooker Hood, Heart of the Kitchen” contest, designed by Zuzanna Karwala.
What captured our hearts?
- Colours – the shades of green and mint used fit beautifully into the interior.
- Nature – the artwork on the large wall pairs well with the modern interior.
- Light – the design allows natural light to enter the dining area, illuminating it beautifully.
- Contrast – the raw steel of the furniture and copper hood provide a striking contrast to the softness of the mint chairs, floral patterns on the wallpaper, and the lightness of the floor.
Design with a Blue Island Cooker Hood
We love the use of this colour in designs because it is still relatively rare in Polish kitchens. This makes the kitchen unique and distinctive.
Katarzyna Zacharewicz's design uses a large space combining the kitchen and living area. It is in such spaces that island cooker hoods truly shine.
Key points we noticed in this design:
- Colour references – apart from the GLOBALO CYLINDRO ISOLA BLUE hood, other blue accents are used. These include the chairs, but also the artwork on the walls. There are few of them, so they do not dominate the kitchen but serve as a stylish addition.
- Lighting – as we know, light is crucial in the kitchen. If we are lucky enough to enjoy natural light through windows, that's fantastic. However, if sunlight is lacking, additional light points are essential. This project uses both. In addition to natural light, the designer used task lighting for the worktop and an original lamp installation above the dining table.
- Gold accents – which beautifully complement the blue colour.
Design with a Gold Island Cooker Hood
Is gold only for the bold? Not at all! Everyone can add a touch of luxury with the GLOBALO CYLINDRO ISOLA GOLD cooker hood.
The design with the gold hood, which we want to present, was created by Łukasz Staniczek. Here are a few reasons why we chose it:
- Colours – the use of light blue in the island design is a unique idea. Additionally, it beautifully complements the patterned floor, which we also find innovative and bold.
- Lighting – we love bright kitchens. This design, making use of natural sunlight, caught our attention.
- Furniture – the fronts and plinths are creatively styled. A bit retro, some English style, and a touch of manor-house charm. Wooden countertops and shelves on the walls add warmth and cosiness to the interior.
- Gold – besides the hood, gold is also found in the accessories. The cabinet handles and tap complement this bold colour beautifully.
