A Kitchen with Style – Monika Wieczorek on Her Project Featuring the GLOBALO Heweno Isola Light Gold
Upon entering this interior, a sense of harmony is immediately felt. Every element – from the texture of the sintered stone to the rhythm of the lighting – has been designed with care and precision. The golden GLOBALO Heweno Isola Light Gold hood subtly reflects the light, adding a touch of elegance and refined modernity to the space. This is a kitchen where proportions, colours, and materials form a cohesive, perfectly balanced whole. Monika Wieczorek’s design exudes calm sophistication, offering the perfect backdrop for everyday life in style and comfort.
The Heart of the Home
The kitchen island – finished with sintered stone in warm beige and brown marble tones – draws the eye from the very entrance. It’s not only the focal point of the arrangement but also a true meeting place.
What were the main design assumptions for the kitchen?
The sintered stone island and the tubular hood were meant to give the kitchen character and individuality. It’s our heart of the home – a place where we cook, eat, and spend time together!
Around the island are sleek wooden bar stools with deep black seats – slightly inspired by Scandinavian form, yet softened by a homely warmth. This atmosphere is enhanced by the abundance of natural light streaming through panoramic windows with horizontal blinds.
A Golden Accent that Captures Attention
Which solutions or details do you consider key to the character of this interior?
I believe every element plays a role, but in the living area, the island made of sintered stone with the hood above it definitely gives the space its unique character.
The hood is not hidden here – on the contrary, it’s a deliberately exposed element. Its cylindrical form and satin finish in refined gold harmonise perfectly with the lines of the pendant lamps nearby. Together they create rhythm and vertical order in a space where every detail matters.
Beige, Wood and Light – a Kitchen with Atmosphere
What colours and materials were chosen for this project and why?
I love shades of beige and white with touches of gold, brown and black. They bring lightness and consistency to the space – a place to relax and live lightly. Wood, sintered stone and a tubular hood in a golden tone complete the look.
Warm, sandy tones dominate here, flowing smoothly between the zones. The French herringbone wood floor, the marble-patterned island and subtle golden reflections form a calm composition where light plays the leading role.
Gold doesn’t scream for attention. It’s more like jewellery worn with taste – present, yet never overwhelming.
Following Trends – but on Her Own Terms
Monika Wieczorek’s interior fits within the trend of contemporary warm minimalism – a style increasingly replacing the cool Scandinavian aesthetic. There are fewer contrasts, more soft transitions. Instead of white and grey, tones of sand, vanilla and light oak prevail, while metallic details – like the Heweno Light Gold hood – add a refined touch.
It’s also worth noting the proportions: slender pendant lamps aligned with the hood create a modern composition reminiscent of contemporary designs in the spirit of japandi or modern classic.
