Island cooker hoods
( number of products: 59 )Island Range Hoods Island range hoods are a solution for those who have a kitchen island. The idea of the island is to centralize the workspace. It is moved from the walls towards the central part of the room. When a cooktop is placed on the kitchen island, an island range hood should be installed above it. Island range hoods come in various forms – they can be sleek tubes, hoods shaped like an inverted T (known as T-Line), rectangular prisms, or designs reminiscent of modern lamps. They all share one common feature – they are mounted to the ceiling above the cooktop.

Island Range Hoods – A Lifesaver for Island Residents
Kitchen island is a trendy and appreciated solution. The traditional layout of kitchen cabinets is changing, and they are now also planned for the center of the room. Placing worktops, a sink, or a cooktop in the center makes the person preparing the meal positioned like a breakfast television presenter. During cooking, greasy particles, moist vapors (often with unpleasant odors), and other harmful substances rise above the cooktop. This is where island range hoods come to the rescue – devices that keep the air clean and healthy.
Island Range Hoods – Design Depending on Interior Style
Island range hoods can take various shapes. One of the popular types is tube-shaped hoods. Their slim form means they take up little space and add a sense of space to the room. A leading model of tube-shaped island range hoods from GLOBALO is Cylindro Isola. Another type is island range hoods in the shape of an inverted T, where the body is made of stainless steel painted in various colors, and the base part is made of durable tempered glass. In the category of recirculating hoods (range hoods not connected to a ventilation chimney and working with a carbon filter), models mounted on steel cables resembling stylish lamps dominate.
Island Range Hoods as Extractors or Recirculators
Some island range hoods can operate in two modes:
- as extractors connected by a duct to a ventilation chimney
- as recirculators working with a carbon filter in a closed loop
We recommend the first solution, that is, a hood connected to a ventilation chimney – it is quieter and more effective. However, there are times when such a solution is not feasible (e.g., in multi-family buildings). In that case, to ensure air filtration, a recirculator comes into play, which – if correctly installed and a good model is chosen – will fulfill its purifying functions.
Ducts leading from the island range hood to the ventilation chimney can be successfully concealed, for example, in a suspended ceiling. Before installing the hood, make sure you know exactly where the chimney duct is located to properly route the ducts to it.
