Wall-Mounted Hood – Extraction vs Recirculation

The most efficient performance is achieved by hoods operating in open mode, venting vapours outside through a ventilation duct. These are called extractors.

If air purification is primarily achieved through a carbon filter and air returns to the room after vapours are filtered by the hood, it operates in recirculation mode.
